The Sacred Portal: When Seasons Call You to Transform

Right now, across our beautiful planet, nature is demonstrating two profound truths simultaneously. In the North, autumn whispers of sacred release. In the South, spring sings of brave beginnings. Both are teaching the same lesson: this is your time for spiritual alchemy.
As we move through these remaining months of the year, we're not counting down—we're opening up. This is a sacred portal where small, conscious decisions become catalysts for profound transformation.
Outwitting the Devil of the Mind
There's an old Buddhist teaching I share with my students: "The mind is everything. What you think, you become."
In these powerful months ahead, we face what I call the "shadow bargain"—that inner voice whispering you should wait until January to change, that you're too tired, too busy, not ready. This is the devil we must outwit, not through force, but through conscious awareness.
The shadow thrives on unconscious patterns. It feeds on autopilot responses, unexamined reactions, sleepwalking through life. But here's the secret from my journey of helping 70,000 souls transform: even the smallest conscious decision breaks its spell.
From Burden to Blessing: Nature's Dual Teaching
Whether you're watching leaves fall or flowers bloom, nature is showing you the same truth—transformation happens through conscious participation with life's cycles.
For those in autumn: Every falling leaf is a burden being transformed into next season's nourishment. The trees don't resist—they trust.
For those in spring: Every seed breaking through darkness is choosing growth over comfort. The flowers don't hesitate—they bloom.
Both seasons teach us: This isn't spiritual bypassing—it's spiritual alchemy.
Your Three-Step Transformation Practice
1. Witness Without Judgment When you feel the weight of what needs releasing or the stirring of what wants to grow—pause. As Thich Nhat Hanh teaches, simply say hello to what's arising. Watch it with curiosity, not criticism.
2. Ask the Sacred Question "What is this teaching me?" or "What wants to emerge through me?" Not why is this happening TO me, but what is this revealing FOR me?
3. Make One Small Conscious Decision Choose differently, even in the tiniest way. Take three breaths instead of reacting. Speak one truth you've been holding. Light a candle with intention. Write one line of gratitude. As I teach in the S.E.E. Method™—Spirit, Embodiment, Enterprise—it all begins with one conscious choice.
The Season of Quiet Revolution
While the world speeds up with holidays and obligations, your soul is calling for the opposite—a quiet revolution of consciousness. This is the Buddhist principle of "going against the stream."
When everything external pushes you toward more, faster, louder—you choose less, slower, quieter. This isn't rebellion; it's reverence for your inner wisdom.
Sacred Daily Practices:
Morning Stillness Before your feet touch the floor, place your hand on your heart and declare: "Today, I choose consciousness over chaos." Just five minutes of silence can change everything.
The Midday Reset When you feel the old patterns arising, take three conscious breaths:
First breath: acknowledge what is
Second breath: release what was
Third breath: welcome what could be
Evening Review Each night, gently ask yourself: "Where did I act from fear today? Where did I act from love?" No judgment, only loving awareness. This is how you outwit the unconscious patterns—by witnessing them with compassion.
Your Spiritual Compass for the Months Ahead
These coming months aren't about massive transformation. They're about micro-movements toward consciousness. They're about choosing to be awake in a world that profits from your sleep.
Remember: The devil you're outwitting isn't some external force—it's the unconscious mind that keeps you trapped in patterns that no longer serve you. Every conscious decision, no matter how small, is an act of spiritual rebellion.
As the Zen proverb reminds us: "You are perfect as you are, and you could use a little improvement." Both things are true. You are already whole, and these sacred months offer you the gift of remembering that wholeness through conscious choice.
The Invitation
Whether autumn is teaching you to release or spring is calling you to grow, the invitation is the same:
Choose response over reaction
Select stillness over speed
Pick presence over perfection
Embrace awareness over autopilot
You don't need to change everything. You need to change one thing: your level of consciousness in this moment. That's where all transformation begins.
The burden you've been carrying? It's not your enemy. It's your teacher, waiting patiently for you to discover the blessing it contains. The shadow you've been fighting? It's not your devil. It's your unconscious mind, ready to be loved into awareness.
Make the small, sacred decision to wake up. Not tomorrow. Not in January. But right here, in this breath, in this moment.
Your spiritual evolution doesn't require perfection. It requires presence. And presence is always just one conscious breath away.
The portal is open. The invitation has been extended. Will you walk through?
Remember: transformation isn't about outwitting some external devil—it's about loving yourself awake, one conscious decision at a time. From burden to blessing, the journey happens through conscious choice, not complex systems.
As I always say: "I help you to help yourself live a happy, spiritual life filled with clarity and purpose."
With love and light on your journey, Julian Jenkins
